Joe's life in production began in school, working in audio for school musicals, concerts, and events. He went to university intending to study sound design and engineering for theatre, but was placed on a lighting crew in his first year and discovered a deeper love. Studying theatrical storytelling by day and lighting 80s cover bands by night, Joe developed a passion for lighting design and programming. 

Since leaving school, Joe has worked in most corners of the production industry: theatre, corporate, television, industrials, music festivals, special events, and more. 

The son of a graphic designer and a composer, Joe combines his musical and aesthetic backgrounds in his work. He loves the rush of following a performance with light, and is unfazed by criticism of his console dance moves.
